Garth Brooks Benefit Concert
To close the historic Studio 6A, Garth Brooks performed a benefit concert for Austin PBS. Farewell to Studio 6A: An Evening with Garth Brooks was a once-in-a-lifetime event celebrating the venue where Austin City Limits began, and also a fundraiser for Austin PBS, the station that produces the series.
The iconic ACL backdrop was auctioned off as part of the fundraiser and featured heavily in the creative for the event. Printed collateral included a printed program of the skyline, signage at the event, badges for staff and guests, coasters with historical facts, and of course it wouldn't be a public media event without a totebag!
The event was a success, raising nearly $2 million for Austin PBS and leaving our donors feeling like VIP for supporting the station. The feedback from guests was positive, with one donor saying, “The event was amazing and my husband and I aren't country music fans! The team was so seamlessly together—y’all made it look easy.” The Austin American Statesman covered the event here: Garth Brooks bids farewell to home of 'Austin City Limits' with intimate show
